Yeah, another 90′s old school classic for this week, it’s Carry me home from Gloworm. It reached number 9 in the UK singles in 1994 and it’s a tune I discovered thanks ITV’s excellent late night dance music program BPM.
Back to a C64 track this week, and this time I give you probably my favourite Rob Hubbard track, the loading music form Nemesis the Warlock: The Death of Torquemada. Based on the 2000 AD comic of the same name. It was a simple but fun game and quite violent for the time, with enemies bursting [...]
A really brillant track by a ambient band call G.O.L. (Gods Of Luxury). I would listen to this on the ‘Ambient Dub Vol 2 Sensations of Tone’ album in 1993 while reading the works of Arthur C Clarke. Good times.
It’s Music Monday again, and it’s c64 music again. This week I’ve give Jeroen Tel’s Alternative Fuel which was written in surprisingly recent (for a SID tune) year of 2004 in for the X-2004 demo party in Utrecht, The Netherlands. It’s One of my favourite tracks from one of my favourite musicians, I hope you enjoy [...]
Another music monday, but to give you a break from C64 music this week I’ve picked Motiv8′s remix of Listen To The Music from The Doobie Brothers. The track was was remix by Steve (Motiv8) Rodway in 1994 and I’ve adored the track ever since, check out that bass.
Music Monday! It’s a new feature for this blog, and it’s one of those that are so easy to post that they practically write themselves. Look forward to these every Monday (possibly). It’s the always amazing and supremely talented Reyn Ouwehand playing a tune he wrote for a Commodore 64 game back in 1990 called Flimbo’s Quest on an [...]
Here is a video of C64 super group 6581 performing The Last Ninja 2 at last years Back in Time Live Stockholm 2008
Aqua, one of my favourite guilty pleasures is back. Singing about the 80s and name checking the C64, what more could you want.
Recently I have again been playing about with a composing and remix music. Creating music is a hard and frustrating experience especially when, like me, you have a very limited talent for it. However I was over the moon when I saw the Crap Remix Compo over at Remix64′s forum as it seemed right up [...]
It looks like some changes are ahead for fans of C64 and Amiga Remixes. The submission systems for both Remix.Kwed.Org and AmigaRemix.com have both been switched off, and they will not be back until the 24th of August. The official reason for this is to give the jurors the possibility to rest from their duties [...]
