Silicon Heaven by Allister Brimble

51lLr73P-eL._SL500_AA280_[1]A bit of old news this but, you might not of heard it. Amiga maestro Allister Brimble has released a new track entitled Silicon Heaven. and it is available for download on Amazon, iTunes and other sites  for a measly £0.79. It is a great track, so I highly recommended you check out.

In another bit of related good news, Allister is currently working on a follow up to his to Sounds Digital album.

Sounds Digital is a brillant album, which I’ve still got on CD somewhere. It has loads of very enjoyable tracks like Full Studio versions of  the music from Team 17 games Project X, Assassin and Full Contact.

Music Monday – The Commodores – Machine Gun

Something a little different this week. It’s The Commodores’ Machine Gun from the album of the same name. I think this is the ultimate funky instrumental. It is a track you hear all the time on Film and TV, but never really get a chance to appreciate how brilliant the track is, just listen to the drums and that bass they are both perfect. Finally it is also technically  fantastic, it sounds like it could have been written yesterday with the latest studio equipment, but the sound is so uniquely Seventies.

Just enjoy it.

Music Monday – Rob Hubbard – Nemesis the Warlock

Back to a C64 track this week, and this time  I give you probably my favourite Rob Hubbard track, the loading music form Nemesis the Warlock: The Death of Torquemada. Based on the 2000 AD comic of the same name. It was a simple but fun game and quite violent for the time, with enemies bursting out of other enemies chests and literal piles of dead bodies.
