Missy’s Playtex Moonwalk

Playtex MoonwalkObscurite* Missy is raising money for a good cause. Here what she has to say about it;

Hi Everyone,

I will be taking part in the Playtex Moonwalk on May 15th, for those of you who don’t know it’s a marathon that takes place in central London and starts at midnight!  I’ve been training really hard and have already managed to cover 189 miles during my training.  I will be trundling through London in the moonlight with nine friends and we will all be wearing bras that we have decorated, if you find yourselves free between midnight and 6 am feel free to cheer us on ;o)

I am aiming to raise £500 for the charity which is aiming to raise awareness for breast cancer research.  Please, if you can, donate some money – even if it’s just a quid – it all helps :o )  The link to my sponsor page is below:

Thank You for your support and apologies if you’ve already donated!

Lots of love

Helen/Bobbie/Pud XXXXX :o)

I’ve donated, so should you.

Friends of the Earth hustings for Middlesbrough

While I was away for the weekend there was a Friends of the Earth held hustings for the candidates for Middlesbrough. Sadly this doesn’t give us any more from our favourute crazy nazi BNP candidate, as both the BNP and UKIP were not  invited to speak at Friends of Earth hosted event as they both rather stupidly deny climate change.

The following people attended the hustings and were kind enough to blog about it, unlike the standing MP Stuart Bell, who was too busy

This is obviously a very safe seat for Labour but I wouldn’t be surprise to see the Lib Dems (and the Tories to a lesser extent) take a big chunk out of Labour’s majority.

Finally at least  you can read what Michael Stewart has to say for himself over at The Northern Echo, while remarking on how much he looks like Penfold from Danger Mouse.
