You have may a noticed that the existing blog comments have all gone missing, and you are unable to add new comments. This is because when I was working on the new version of the blog last night I’d changed some of the field type in the table that holds the comments in the database, however quite stupidly I changed the live table and not the back up table I’d been using for the new blog.

This means I still have all the comments, but I don’t know which blog entry they belong to, or when they where submitted. So it is still possible to recover them, but it is going to take a lot of donkey work. So I am not going to fixing it until the new version of the blog goes live.
