New and more creative excuses

C64show #5 has been postponed until sometime in February (maybe) due to the writers strike (it's a similar story with my CV) and because I've got man flu.

In the mean time go and listen to The Anna and Mazipan Mid-Week Mid-Morning Madness. It has the lovely Anna Black, some c64 music and mentions me a bit.

What more could you want? Well, other than this blog being regularly updated and much more interesting.

Facebook Compare People Feedback

Recently I have been using the Compare People application on facebook and it has come up with some quiet interesting results. This application works by the user, and their facebook friends comparing two random selected friends on a certain subject like "who is the sexiest?" and then compiling the results into a league table of each of the seventy subjects.

Anyway, I said it results where quiet interesting and by that I mean they were completely surprising for me. Can you guess my top ranked subject? I bet you wouldn't guess "more likely to win in a fight"? I certainly wouldn't, I've always thought I was a lover not a fighter, however I was ranked 4th with a 100% win record.

Other things I ranked highly in were; more organized (5th), more famous (6th), better public speaker (7th) and more tech-savvy (7th).

I also was ranked got a 100% in the following; more entertaining, (Surprise! It seems I'm entertaining, probably to do with the drink), crazier (Not a surprise. Well, I'll admit I'm not the most sane of people), would make a better father (Not a surprise. Probably because I'm on the of the few fathers in my network), more cuddly (Not a surprise, as isn't this just a nice way of saying that I am fat?) and more creative (Surprise! I'm not very creative, well not as creative as many of my friends).

However I got a disappointing low scores in the following; rather be trapped on a desert island with, more athletic, better friend, more likely to skip class nicer, a better body, rather date, more punctual, rather live with, more fashionable, more artistic, rather marry, cuter, rather sleep with, sexier smells nicer, rather have dinner with, more popular, a better laugh, better dancer, kinder, better hair, more outgoing, hotter, rather get stuck in handcuffs with, more adventurous, rather hang out with for a day, and more loyal. I almost could get depressed about those scores, my friends obviously think I'm a fighter not a lover.

The even later news years update

So new years wasn't a great big party for me this year, the family and I did go out to a party but I wasn't drinking because I had that awful flu bug that was going around, I was throwing up in the middle of the night before.

I did however make an effort to say 'it's only a number' to anyone who missed me a happy new year. Why I am doing this I'm not quite sure, it's possibly an attempt at humour however it just made me look like a twat, which unsurprisingly didn't stop me saying it.

So, it's usual around this time of year for me to talk about my new years resolutions. I've look at all the areas of my life than I think to make improvements in and come up with a number of resolution to help me tackle them. One hundred and fifteen resolution in fact, I've got a lot of scope improvement. I'll attempt to get them down to a more manageable level and post about them. Suffice to say, they'll be something in there about blogging more :)

Oh, on a final note. I'm working on the next episode of the c64glen show.

The late Christmas 2007 update

The Family Christmas was good, my mother and sister where both visiting which was nice (for Conor obviously), Adrienne even caught the second performance of Conor's play which was a surprise for Conor as he hadn't told him she was coming, it almost put him off his first song.

the second performance of the play with better than the first, even thought the bucket gaga was still missing Conor sold the 'getting hit by the mop' much better and got a big laugh. Another surprise for Conor after the play was his Grannie (my mother) was waiting for him when he got back.

Continuing the theme of surprises. Conor almost exploded when he opened his Wii on Christmas day, mainly because we had told him he wasn't getting one because we couldn't get hold of one and because we waited until after dinner until we 'found' an extra present Santa must have left in the car.

I didn't really have any ideas want I wanted for presents this year so I got the usual Socks, Scarf, Dressing Gown and Knickers. Which suits me fine because I got a few bob to spend on some news books and a bought myself a masterpiece Starscream.

Also the other Highlight of Christmas was heading up to the Black Bull in Peterlee for night out with some old friendly faces.
